Booking Conditions
Once the accommodation is booked orally, electronically or in writing it will be confirmed by us in writing to the guest.
Once booked a contract comes into existence between S Powell the owner of Quay Cottage and the guest, who accepts the booking conditions on behalf of all the persons accompanying them to the premises of Swan Cottage / Quay Cottage
Accommodation and Payment Terms
The accommodation is a 2 bedroom cottage which sleeps only 3 people. The number of people in the party must be stated on the booking form and must not exceed the maximum of 3 people plus a baby.
No Smoking is allowed inside the property
Well behaved pets are welcome.
The accommodation will be available from 3.00pm on the first day and guests should vacate the premises by 10.00am on their last day.
All gas and electricity is included.
A car parking pass is provided for Dog Lane car park which is close to the property.
All bed linen and towels are provided unless you wish to provide your own, please inform us as soon as possible.
All amenities provided by us for guests are used entirely at the guests risk and no responsibility will be accepted by us.
The price of the accommodation is guaranteed against any increase once the cottage is booked subject to all the conditions of payment being adhered to as stated below.
A deposit of £100.00 is required at the time of booking and the remainder is due 4 weeks before the guests accommodation date.
A holding fee of £100.00 is required in the form of a cheque this is to cover the cost of any damage or breakages/lost keys/lost car parking pass. This is in excess of the price of the accommodation and will be returned to the guest when we have ascertained that none of the above problems have occurred.
Guests are reminded that they are required to treat the accommodation with due care. It is a condition of booking that if any damage occurs the cost of the damage will be born by the guests concerned.
We reserve the right to revise published prices at any time before bookings are made.
Cancellation Charges
Cancellation of a booking must be in writing and signed by the guest. It becomes effective from the date that such instruction is received by us. All cancellations are subject to the following scale of charges, which are as follows.
More than 28 days - £100.00 deposit non-refundable
28 days or less - the total cost of the accommodation will be required unless we are successful in booking the accommodation with an alternative guest.
If We Change Your Accommodation
We plan the arrangements for your accommodation as advertised many months in advance and although it is unlikely that we have to make any changes to confirmed arrangements, it does occasionally happen. We reserve the right to make such changes at any time. Most changes would be of a minor nature and we would advise you as soon as possible.
If a situation beyond our control occurs and a major change involving reduced accommodation time or a change in the dates of the accommodation is necessary we will provide you with a full refund of the difference in price. Where alternative accommodation cannot be provided a full refund will be made.
If You Have a Problem
If you have any problems with the accommodation during your stay please let us know and we will try to resolve them as soon as possible.
